Strengthen Flood Barriers Around Parliament

On 28 November 2025, a combined team of troops undertook essential flood-prevention measures around the Parliament area. The effort included 3 Officers and 70 Other Ranks from the 12 Sri Lanka Singha Regiment, 23 Other Ranks from the 144 Brigade, and 22 Other Ranks from the 2(V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry. The troops efficiently laid sandbags to reinforce vulnerable points, helping safeguard the premises from rising floodwaters.
