STUDENT LEADERS WERE AWARDED WITH PREFECTS BADGES BY GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING 14 INFANTRY DIVISION

Upon an invitation received from Sri Gnana Wimala Dhamma school, Gagula Panadura, as well as with the direction of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General H L V M Liyanage RWP RSP ndu and the Commander Security Forces (West), Major General D M K D B Pussella RWP RSP, the General Officer Commanding of 14 Infantry Division, Major General J M R N K Jayamanna RWP, graced the Prefects’ badges awarding Ceremony of Sri Gnana Wimala Dhamma School premises as the Chief Guest on 19 February 2023.

When the General Officer Commanding arrived at the school premises, he was warmly welcomed by the students and the staff of the school. Thereby, 60 prefects and around 110 class monitors of the Sri Gnana Wimala Dhamma School, Gagula Panadura, received their insignias during this ceremony. Afterwards, Major General J M R N K Jayamanna RWP made a brief address to the gathering regarding leadership and future challenges.

Maha Sangha, several staff of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and school staff attended the day’s event.
