WEST TROOPS STEPPED FORWARD TO ASSIST THE AFFECTED PEOPLE IN THE WADURAWA AREA

Due to high wind condition and heavy rainfall in the 141 Infantry Brigade area 23 x Houses were damaged in the general area Wadurawa belongs to Divisional Secretariat Division Mirigama on 06 November 2023.

Accordingly, on the instructions of the Commander Security Forces Headquarters (West) Major General W H K S Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndu under the direction of the General Officer Commanding 14 Infantry Division Major General K A W N H Bandaranayake USP along the close supervision of the Commander 141 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier LGB Kariyawasam RWP RSP USP, 02 x 05 including the Brigade Commander of 141 Infantry Brigade, 03 x 30 from 6 Sri Lanka Artillery and 02 x 20 from 8 Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry carried out the following series of tasks with the aim of carrying out the daily activities of the people living in the area without interruption and providing relief for the affected people from 0730 hours to 1700 hours on 07 November 2023.

Temporary covering of house roofs with tents - 03.
