“GOC 61 INFANTRY DIVISION OFFICIALLY VISITED HEADQUARTERS 572 INFANTRY BRIGADE ”

The General Officer Commanding 61 Infantry Division Maj Gen KTP De Silva RSP ndu psc conducted an official visit to the Headquarters 572 Infantry Brigade on 17 June 2025. In that, the GOC was warmly received by the Commander 572 Infantry Brigade at the main entrance, where a ceremonial guard turnout was presented in his honor.

During the visit, the newly constructed brigade name board was ceremonially unveiled by the GOC, symbolizing the brigade's continuous progress and development. Then planting a sapling, Group photograph with following a comprehensive operational and administrative briefing by the Brigade Commander, the GOC toured the camp premises and later addressed the troops of both the Brigade Headquarters and its affiliated battalions, commending their discipline and service excellence. Also, GOC visited the B Coy 18 SLNG Bambaragasthenna Camp. Finally concluding the visit, the GOC penned his appreciation in the visitors' book, lauding the unwavering commitment and professionalism of the Brigade Commander and all ranks in elevating the standards of the headquarters.
