Following a proposal of the Commander of the Army, knowledge of the Army cooks and related staff serving under the Security Force Headquarters-West (SFHQ-West), received training under several workshops on Monday (11).
The workshops were organized under the directions of Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, SFHQ-West with the assistance of Hotel Management Faculty of Aquinas College for Higher Education.
The first phase of the cookery workshops commenced on Monday (11) at the Main Auditorium, 1 SLAOC and will continue for a week.
A total of 400 cooks and related staff will attend the first phase. Chef Kapila Jayaneththi will conduct the workshop which covers on preparing of healthy foods, utilizing of cutleries effectively and proper storage of dry and fresh food items.
