On 4 December 2025, a team of sixteen soldiers including an Officer from the 5 Sri Lanka Signal Corps carried out a cleaning programme at Sudharshanaramaya Piriwena, Avissawella. Their efforts helped restore the temple premises following recent adverse weather, ensuring a clean and orderly environment for the resident clergy and devotees. The initiative reflects the Army continued commitment to community service.
