Major General K M V Kodituwakku ndc, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 14 Infantry Division, paid an official visit to the 141 Infantry Brigade and its under-command battalion, the 8th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry (8 SLLI), on 06 June 2026.
Upon his arrival at the Headquarters of the 141 Infantry Brigade in Veyangoda, the General Officer Commanding was warmly welcomed by the Commander of the 141 Infantry Brigade. In honour of his visit, the troops of the brigade accorded him a formal Guard Turnout.
Subsequently, the Commander of the 141 Infantry Brigade conducted a detailed briefing on the Area of Responsibility (AOR). Marking the occasion, the General Officer Commanding planted a sapling within the camp premises and addressed the troops.
Thereafter, the General Officer Commanding proceeded to the 8th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry, which is co-located with the 141 Infantry Brigade. In honour of his visit, the troops of the battalion also accorded him a formal Guard Turnout. He then addressed the troops.
The day's programme concluded with the General Officer Commanding expressing his appreciation to the Commander of the 141 Infantry Brigade and the Commanding Officer of 8 SLLI for their commitment and dedication to duty.
