Under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding 57 Infantry Division Major General R P S Prasad RWP RSP USP an awareness lecture on the Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) was conducted by the Director of Army Benevolent Fund, Colonel K A D C J Kodithuwakku, on 09 June 2026.
During the session, Colonel Kodithuwakku delivered a comprehensive presentation on the objectives, functions, and benefits of the Army Benevolent Fund. He also explained the proper procedures for submitting applications and emphasized the importance of forwarding complete and accurate documentation through the correct administrative channels to avoid delays in processing.
The lecture provided valuable insights into the services and welfare benefits offered by the Army Benevolent Fund, thereby enhancing the awareness of the participants.
A total of 15 Officers and 200 Other Ranks (ORs) from the 57 Infantry Division and its under-command brigades and battalions participated in the awareness programme.
