Troops of the 611 Infantry Brigade, under the 61 Infantry Division of the Security Force (West), collaborated with the People's Bank Regional Head Office in Kegalle to construct a new house for a needy family residing in Eriyagoda Grama Niladari Division, Rambukkana. The beneficiary, Mrs. K.A. Nilimini Dilrukshi, a mother of three children, had been living without a proper shelter or a source of income since her husband's untimely death due to a vehicle accident. The troops identified her dire situation and decided to take action.

The troops of the 12 Field Engineers Regiment, under the close supervision of the 612 Infantry Brigade and guidance of the 61 Infantry Division of the Security Forces (West), have constructed a new home for a needy family residing in the Kopiwatta area of the Matugama Divisional Secretariat in the Kalutara District. This project was carried out in collaboration with the Matugama Divisional Secretariat and was handed over to the beneficiaries on 22 May 2023.

It commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and passing away of Lord Buddha, the founder of Buddhism. In line with the Vesak Festival 2023, troops of Security Forces Headquarters (West) and Sri Lanka Army Buddhist Association together with members of 'Shri Saman Meth Sansadaya' have taken the initiative to organize another charity event at Bodhirajaramaya Army temple, Panagoda, to worship the 'omniscient sacred relic and the disciple relics' in the fragrance chambers of Shri Saman Meth Sansadaya for people on 05 and 06 May 2023.
