57 DIVISION TROOPS COORDINATE DISTRIBUTION OF DRY RATIONS
Troops of 4 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment under the 57 Division of the Security Forces Headquarters - Kilinochchi coordinated the programme of distribution dry rations packets among selected 10 families in Murukkandi village in Kilinochchi.
Each dry ration pack consisted of essential items as rice, dhal, sugar, packets of tea, packets of washing powder, soaps ect. Cost of an essential food packet is nearly Rs 2500.00.
Major Nalin Wickramaarchchi, Commanding Officer - 4 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and members of the general public witnessed the distribution.
TROOPS OF 65 DIVISION SUPPORTED TO RENOVATE IRRIGATION CANAL AT VAVNIKULAM
The south bank canal of the Vavunikulam reservoir, which earlier carried water to many hundreds of acres of agrarian land in Vavunikulam - Thunukkkai areas, was renovated by troops under 65 Division on 07 September 2017 as the direction of General Officer Commanding Sarath Weerawardhana RSP USP IG, before releasing of water along it for the main season (Maha).

A series of dengue mosquito prevention programmes have been conducted covering all schools in Kilinochchi area, before the third school term begins by more than 1000 of troops under Security Force Kilinochchi. NEGOMBO ROTARY CLUB OFFERED BICYCLES FOR LOW-INCOME STUDENTS IN KILINOCHCHI
Negombo – Rotary Club headed by Mr: Freddy Cruise showed goodwill and generosity towards people live in Kilinochchi area by donating 80 push bicycles for the distribution amongst the low-income group students on 05 September 2017 at Nelumpiyasa Auditoriyam, Kilinochchi.
According to the invitation made by Commander Security Forces, Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana, Negombo Rotary Club initiated the said charity programme. 65 selected low-income students from Mallavi, Vishwamadu, Poonayern and 15 students from Don Bosco College were donated bicycles and air pumps.

Troops of the Security Forces - Kilinochchi contributed to the ongoing National Dengue prevention campaign on 17 August 2017 covering public places in the Kilinochchi region was carried out as a precautionary measure to curb the spread of Dengue in the city and its suburbs with the directions and supervision of Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana, Commander Security Forces - Kilinochchi.
