10TH SRI LANKA LIGHT INFANTRY SOCCER TEAM WON THE SECURITY FORCES CHALLENGE SOCCER TOURNAMENT - 2016
Security Forces - Kilinochchi Challenge Soccer Tournament, organized by the 662 Brigade terminated on 08 August 2016 at the Paravipanchan Public ground - Kilinochchi.\r\n\r\nMajor General K A D A Karunasekara RSP VSV USP ndu psc, Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi graced the occasion as the Chief Guest in the finals of the tournament which was held for both Army and Civil teams in the area.\r\n\r\nThe finals for Army teams were held between the 10th Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment and 20th Gajaba Regiment team. The 10th Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment team won the match with a score of 3 - 0.\r\n\r\nCivil Team segment comprised 08 teams from the area and Poonaryn \"Jolly Boys\" Sports Club and Paranthan \"Youth Circle\" Sports Club played for the finals. However, Paranthan \"Youth Circle\" Sport Club won the match with a score of 2- 0.\r\n\r\nThe Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi gave away trophies and certificates to the winning and runners up teams. General Officer Commanding - 66 Division, Brigade Commanders, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and Civilians attended the event.\r\n
