A series of celebrations were conducted from 24th to 28th December 2020 to coincide with 11th Anniversary of 5th Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Headquarters at Thirumurukkandy Kilinochchi.
Giving priority to Religious activities a “Hindu mass” was held at the Thirumurukkandy kovil premises on 24th December 2020 and “Bodhi pooja” was held at Temple premises of 5 SLCMP on 26 December 2020.
On the occasion of the 11th Anniversary on 28 December 2020 troops of 5 SLCMP presented a Guard turnout to the Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Dilshan Perera and followed by a Troops address and all rank lunch with the participation of Commanding Officer of 5 SLCMP.
In parallel to the Anniversary celebration Officers and Other Ranks of 5 SLCMP arranged the special program to distribute dry ration, essential items and school equipment for one of selected under privileged families in General area Wasantha Nagar Kilinochchi.
