57 Division has celebrated its 11th anniversary on 26 Feb 2018. Series of events were organized to celebrate the anniversary. On the Division day, General Officer Commanding 57 Division Major General Vijitha Ravipriya has received the Guard Turnout and Guard of Honour which given by the 7th Sri Lanka Light Infantry. Brigade Commanders and Commanding Officers from under command brigades and battalions participated to witness the event. All Rank lunch was organized for the troops in headquarters 57 Division.
Before the division day parade, sequence of religious events were conducted. Muslim religious event was organized in Jumma Muslim Mosque on 20 February 2018.
Christian Religious ceremony was organized at St. Theresa Church on 21 February 2018. Hindu religious event was organized at Kanadasami Hindu Temple – Kilinochchi.
The Bodhi Puja was conducted in Lumbini Buddhist Temple with all Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, Officers and Other Ranks from under command battalions of 57 Division on 23rd Feb 18. Subsequently Alms Giving was organized for more than 250 kids who live in ‘Maha Dewa Asramaya’ on 25th Feb 18.
