As per the concept outspoken by Major General DGS Senarath Yapa RWP RSP ndu the General Officer Commanding of 57 Division, a workshop for introducing basic utilization of Geographic Information System, and its related applications was conducted on 29 June 2020 at 57 Division, for the officers and soldiers of under command battalions and brigades. The aim of the programme was to make the officers and soldiers familiarization to the GIS and its related applications based on mapping and data storing systems in to the practical aspects. In that, the session was free to discuss the theoretical and practical aspects, and the problematic area of the users. At the same time, this programme was organized as a part of the master programme; Adaptive Leadership Training for Junior Leaders which was implemented to groom multi skilled soldiers. 06 Officers and 25 soldiers including Adjutants, Intelligent Officers and Computer operators participated in the programme.
