In order to commemorate the very renowned person of the Killinochchi, former Divisional Secretary & Director of Jayanthinagar Mahadewa Ashramayalate Mr. T Rasanayagam and strength the military civil cooperation Commander 571 Brigade initiated to organize football tournament within the Divisional Secretariat under the supervision of General Officer Commanding 57 Division.
The tournament was continued last 3 days with huge gathering of football fans and it was commenced from 3 August 2018. Nineteen teams participated and fought for the champions, finally Ilantheriyal - Waddakachchi team secured Championship with hefty encounter. The final day grace the occasion by Additional Divisional Secretary Mr. S. Sathyaseelan as the Chief Guest and Brigade Commander 571 & 572 Brigades.The entire, event was organized by the 7 Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment .
The Sri Lanka Mobitel network sponsored Trophies and cash gifts to the winning teams.
