57 INFANTRY DIVISION ORGANIZED AN INTERACTION DINNER FOR THE MEMBERS OF THE KILINOCHCHI EXECUTIVE OFFICERS' ASSOCIATION

According to the instructions of Major General Sujeewa Senearatha Yapa RWP RSP ndu, the General Officer Commanding - 57 Infantry Division, 571 Infantry Brigade took the initiatives to organize a get-together and a dinner for the members of “The Kilinochchi Executive Officers’ Association” on 27 August 2020 at Officers’ Mess 571 Infantry Brigade. This association was inaugurated with the aim of enhancing the interpersonal understanding and coordination among the military and the executive level officers of the government offices and other major institutions in Kilinochchi area on 5 March 2020.

Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda ndc IG, the Commander Security Force Kilinochchi graced the occasion as the chief guest and Major General Hemantha Bandara RWP RSP ndu, the General Officer Commanding 65 Infantry Division, Major General Sujeewa Senerath Yapa RWP RSP ndu the General Officer Commanding 57 Infantry Division, and DIG - Kilinochchi Division, Sampath Liyanage also participated for the event. 26 Army Officers and 4 Police officers gathered for the event including all Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, Senior Staff Officers, and Officer In charges of Police Stations of the Security Forces Kilinochchi area of responsibility. At the same time, 41 executive officers participated for the event including Mr. Sri Mohanan, the Additional District Secretary of Kilinochchi, Divisional Secretaries, Directors, Deputy Directors, Doctors, Engineers, Assistant Commissioners and Heads of Government’s departments and Institutions. The event was facilitated by 571 Infantry Brigade under the supervision of Brigadier Kapila Dolage USP psc, the Commander 571 Infantry Brigade.

The event explored opportunity to promote the understanding among the executive level officers and Army officers, in order to develop coordination among agencies for effective performance during routine work and emergency situations, conduct collective community support projects for socio-economic well-being of Kilinochchi public, and exchange the views and ideas on their respective fields.
