57 INFANTRY DIVISION ORGANIZED THE THIRD DISCUSSION TO REVIEW THE PREPARATION FOR DISASTER MITIGATION DURING THE PERIOD OF NORTH EAST MONSOON

Having the scope of reviewing the preparation of the integrated disaster mitigation mechanism, the third discussion was organized by 571 Infantry Brigade under the directions of Major General Sujeewa Senarath Yapa, the General Officer Commanding of 57 Infantry Division, on 24 December 2020. The discussion has been structured offering the opportunity for the field commanders of 57 Infantry Division to discuss the practical undefined areas when engaging in disaster mitigation and reliefs operations with the officials of government authorities who engage in disaster mitigation in the District.

The Commander 572 Infantry Brigade, Commanding Officers, Staff Officers of 57 Infantry Division and Mr M Gokularajah - Assistant Director of Disaster Management Centre Kilinochchi, participated for the programme.
