65 Division Celebrated Sinhala and Tamil New Year Festival on 21 April 2018 at Mulangavil Vinayagar Public Ground. The initiative behind the celebration was to develop the mutual understanding and to enhance cultural relationship between the two communities. A large crowd from the Mulangavil area gathered at Vinayagar Public Ground to witness the traditional event.
Festive included with both Sinhala and Tamil traditional games and many joyful events. Evening musical extravaganza entertained the audience with its electrifying melodies.
Major General Nishshanka Ranawana Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi graced the occasion as the chief guest on the invitation of Major General Kumara Peiris General Officer Commanding 65 Division. This event was organized by the 651 Brigade with the assistance and compliments of 652 and 653 Brigades.
All Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, Senior Officers, Officers and all Other Ranks of the 65 Division participated for the event.
