Major General HRKP Peiris USP took office as the 9th General Officer Commanding of 65 Division under Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi on 13 March 2018.
The newly appointed General Officer Commanding received the Guard Turnout and Guard of Honour awarded by 1st Gajaba Regiment accordance with military traditions.
The ceremony included religious observances and all rank tea party organized by the officers and other ranks of the division.
All Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, Officers and Other ranks of 65 Division also attended the occasion.
