Taking Kilinochchi social and economic issues into account, under command formations of Security Force Headquarters – Kilinochchi are in the process of supporting low income families and students who need of financial and other essential facilities to continue their day to day lives.\r\n\r\nIntroducing new methods for income generation, 653 Brigade organized a donation programme of distribution poultry among the low income groups in the Alankulam and Therandakandal areas on 16 December 2016 under the instructions of Major General Sarath Weerawardena RSP USP IG, General Officer Commanding – 65 Division.\r\n\r\nFifteen Families received those flock of chickens on the occasion and troops were prepared to give away 100 poultry (01 hen and 01 fowl) to each family free. Commander 653 Brigade Colonel Sujith Balachandran, Development Officer - Thunukkai District Secretariat Office, Grama Seva Niladhari of Villages and civilians were presented at the occasion. \r\n
