Troops of 7 Sri Lanka National Guard and the villagers of Koddeikaddeyarkulam along with the officials of Farmers Association conducted a Shramadhana programme to clean the Koddeikaddeyarkulam irrigation cannel length approximately 2.2 Km on 23 August 2020. This is the main irrigation cannel of Koddeikaddeyarkulam tank, which benefit villagers to cultivate 256 acres in the area.
This programme was conducted with the direction given by General Officer Commanding 65 Division Major General DMHD Bandara RWP RSP USP, Commander 652 Brigade, Brigadier WLAC Perera RWP RSP USP and close supervision of Commanding Officer 7 SLNG. More than 60 villagers participated for the programme and military contribution on this regard was highly appreciated by the villagers.
