66 DIVISION INITIATES FREE DISTRIBUTION OF SPECTACLES TO CIVILIANS
According to the vision of Commander Security Forces – Kilinochchi, Major General Amal Karunasekara RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc and under the guidance of Brigadier Charith Keppetiwalana RSP ndu psc, General Officer Commanding 66 Division, the troops of 66 Division collaborated with “Vishwaparamee Foundation – Colombo” donated over worth of Rs.130000.00 spectacles among 350 selected civilians in poonaryn area.\r\n \r\nThis programme was held at Poonaryn Sri Vigneshwaran School premises on 18 December 2016. Dr. Nimal Karunasiri and his team voluntarily conducted medical clinic for civilians check their condition of eye sight. Then selected more appropriate 350 personnel and distributed spectacles among them free of charge.\r\n\r\nBrigadier Charith Keppetiwalana RSP ndu psc, General Officer Commanding 66 Division graced the occasion as the chief guest of the event. Further, members of Vishwaparamee Foundation, Medical Officer and his team of Poonaryn Hospital, Army Officers and a large gathering of civilians were presented for the event.\r\n
