The 66 Infantry Division celebrates its 11th anniversary within the safety frameworks under the directions of the General Officer Commanding Major General Jagath Kodithuwakku on 10 December 2020. After 58 Division captured the strategically important township of Poonaryn in the Humanitarian Operation on 15 November 2008, 66 Infantry Division was raised on 09 November 2009 as TF 6 and on 10 December 2009 redesignated as 66 Infantry Division.
The GOC planted a sapling at the premises to mark the memorable occasion followed by limited events including a Troop Address, All ranks Tea and a Lunch to honour the Military traditions.
