661 INFANTRY BRIGADE TROOPS ASSIST TO ASCEND A TOPPLED LORRY AT NALANKATTI

A lorry which was running from Mannar to Jaffna along A32 road toppled in front of the 661 Infantry Brigade at Nalankatti area on 19 February 18.

The troops of the 661 Brigade immediately rushed to the location and assisted to take out the persons who were troubled inside the lorry. Later troops unloaded the staff inside the lorry and supported to ascend the lorry onto the road. The driver of the toppled lorry was 64 years old WJ Nihal Fernando from Negambo and owner of the lorry is S Sandaham from Negambo. The owner of the Lorry contacted the Commander 661 Brigade Colonel Priyantha Jayawardhana and paid his gratitude.
