67th ANNIVERSARY AND ARMY DAY CEREMONIES AT SECURITY FORCES KILINOCHCHI AMID SOCIAL WELFARE PROGRAMMES
Security Forces Headquarters - Kilinochchi celebrated 67th Anniversary of Sri Lanka Army on 10 October 2016 with several events under the guidance of Major General K A D A Karunasekara RSP VSV USP psc ndu - Commander Security Forces (Kilinochchi).\r\n\r\nArmy day ceremony celebrated at the Headquarter premises including hoisting of Army flag, singing Army song and reading the message of the Commander of Army. In parallel to the main programme approximately 50 soldiers attended on Shramadana campaign at Base Hospital -Kilinochchi. They cleaned and painted more than 100 bed side cupboard for wellbeing of patients. Brigadier Admin and Quartering - Security Forces Headquarters (Kilinochchi), Colonel General Staff - Security Forces Headquarters (Kilinochchi) and Colonel Coordination - Security Forces Headquarters (Kilinochchi) encouraged the soldiers while visiting the hospital premises. Chief Coordinator Civil Affair Officer - Security Forces Headquarters (Kilinochchi) coordinated said shramadana campaign. \r\n\r\nMeanwhile, in parallel to 67th Anniversary and Army day, under the direction of the Commander of the Army, Commander Forward Maintenance Area (Kilinochchi) Brigadier H D W Kariyawasam USP Lsc and General Officer Commanding - 66 Division, Brigadier C Keppetiwalana RSP psc visited Army Base Hospital - Kilinochchi and distributed gift parcels for the patients. Commander - 574 Brigade Colonel N C Somaweera RWP RSP USP and senior officers accompanied the occasion.
