17th Battalion of Gajaba Regiment in collaboration with the Ministry of Fisheries and Development of Aquatic Resources - Kilinochchi distributed worth of Rs. 121600.00 fishing nets among low income 38 fisheries families representing 7 fishing communities in Kilinochchi area with the intention of promoting their livelihoods.\r\n\r\n This programme was implemented under the guidance of Harmony Center. Fisheries and Development of Aquatic Resources officer R. Saleevan, Civil Affairs Officer - 571 Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Prabath Halpage, Commanding Officer - 17th Battalion Gajaba Regiment Major Mahinda Somathilaka and fisheries community members were present.
