ARMY HELPED ELDERS WITH A MID-DAY MEAL

With the objective of enhancing reconciliation between the army and the civilian community, a donation programme was organized by the General Officer Commanding of 66 Infantry Division Major General Jagath Kodithuwakku RWP RSP ndu and the staff of 66 Infantry Division to offer a mid-day meal and to donate gifts to the elderly people living in the ‘Yoga Swamigal’ elderly home at Vannerikulam on 16 September 2020. Further, pack, of essential Sanitary items were also distributed among them.

At the end of the program Mr N Selvanayagam, the in charge of the elderly home conducted the vote of thanks, and all elderly people expressed their happiness and appreciated the Sri Lanka Army for conducting such social programs.
