COMMANDER SECURITY FORCES KILLINOCHCHI CONTINUES HIS VISIT TO 662 BRIGADE

The formal first visit of the Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi, Major General Harendra Ranasinghe was taken place to 662 Infantry Brigade at Patanthan and its under command Battalions on 16 March 2021.

In line with the traditions and customs in the Army, he was warmly welcomed by the Commander 662 Brigade, Colonel Chaminda Liyanage. Brigade Commander and Commanding Officers of under command Battalions presented brief outline on the operational aspects of their troops followed by a field visit to Battalions of 20 SLLI and 20 (V) VIR. During the Battalion visits, Commander was briefed about their sector responsibilities and intelligence capacities and capabilities in depth by the respective Battalion intelligence officers. Meantime, Commander had a formal discussion with Battalions Senior and Junior NCOs with regards to present duties.

During the camp visits, Commander Security Force Kilinochchi planted saplings as symbols of memory and signed visitors’ books to mark his visits. Commanding Officers and Staff Officers of the Division and SFHQ (KLN) were also present during the event.
