Commander Security Forces Killinochchi, Major General Harendra Ranasinghe made his maiden official visit to 66 Division on 15 March 2021.
On arrival at 66 Division, Commander Security Forces Killinochchi was welcomed by the General Officer Commanding 66 Division, Major General Ajith Dissanayake, and was honoured with a Guard Turnout.
Subsequently, Commander Security Force Kilinochchi posed for group photographs with the General Officer Commanding, Staff Officers and the Commanders of under command formations of 66 Division. Afterwards, a brief presentation on operational, administrative and logistic aspects of the Division was conducted by the GOC 66 Infantry Division.
Thereafter, Commander Security Force addressed the troops and emphasized the importance of performing the assigned duties with dedication and commitment. Further he stressed the need of improve their professional competencies through the constant training to develop the skills of performing multiple task of the soldiers to face the future security challenges of the nation. Meantime, he visited monumental Gamini Kularatne’s memorial in Elephant Pass as well.
The visiting Commander planted sapling as a symbol and left his signature in visitors’ books to mark his visits to the places. All Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers and Staff Officers of the Division and SFHQ (KLN) were present during the event.
