According to the direction of; initiating mega social service projects as a solution for eradicating poverty and empower war-affected and low income population economically, by the Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army General Shavendra Silva, the Commander Security Force Kilinochchi Major General Harendra Ranasinghe instructed all the under command formations to promote livelihood support programme. This programmes target facilitating needy families their basic requirements which will uplift their living standards and enhance the reconciliation process of the government in Kilinochchi area.
The Commander Security Force Kilinochchi made an inspection tour the construction of the housing projects at the same time he visited Poultry Farms Projects, Palmyra Production Community Centre - Poonaryn on 29 May 2021. Moreover, he instructed troops to concentrate completing the projects within short period of time.
The General Officer Commanding 66 Infantry Division, Major General Ajith Dissanayake, Commanding Officers of 24 VIR and 5(V) MIR and the Chief Coordinator Civil Affairs of SFHQ KLN also participated the visit.
