CONTRIBUTION TO THE OPENING OF BUILDING COMPLEX FOR DIVISIONAL SECRETARIAT - POONERYN
The New building complex for Divisional Secretariat – Pooneryn was declared open by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Hon MP Wajira Abeywardana on 22 Dec 2016 by facilitating administrative sector of Pooneryn in order to provide better standard government service to the people around Pooneryn.\r\n\r\nAs per the guidance and direction of Commander Security Forces Headquarters Kilinochchi, troops of 66 Division have contributed by assisting to complete the construction work with provision of labor resource for followings.\r\n\r\n a. Lying of 3000 x interlocking bricks in front of the building premises.\r\n b. Fixing of Plaque.\r\n c. Provide a Water Bowser for the Opening Ceremony. \r\n\r\nAt the outset Mr. Krishnendran – Divisional Secretary – Pooneryn was highly and respectfully paid his humble gratitude towards military due to great assistance offered to complete the construction and final works within 24 hrs of time before declare open the building complex and further, stated that the task completed by the military made the confidence to open the building at expected time.\r\n\r\nThis opening Ceremony depicted the better civil - military cooperation as a strengthening event of reconstruction process. The military has identified the military assistance to the civil authorities is an utmost valued aspect sine the development process is interconnected with civil authorities and the military.\r\n\r\nFor the opening ceremony at new Divisional Secretariat - Pooneryn, representing the Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi, General Officer Commanding 66 Division Brigadier DC Keppetiwalana RSP ndu psc was participated with the invitation of Divisional Secretary - Pooneryn. Further, it was a better opportunity to display the efficiency and effectiveness of military and the civil military cooperation in any occasion. Moreover the speakers of the event and many participant were highly appreciated the military contribution to the development works and uninterrupted bond of military.\r\n
