To meet with the concept outspoken by Major General DGS Senerath Yapa RWP RSP ndu, the General Officer Commanding - 57 Division, a coordinating conference on current community infrastructure issues was conducted on 18 June 2020 at Headquarter 571 Brigade with the participation of the heads of Government Agencies in Kilinochchi. In that, existing issues and the development requirements, on the provision of the drinking water, irrigational development, and mitigating the flood and disaster management in Kilinochchi area were discussed in depth. Further, it was adequately emphasized the provisions of forecasted plans of such fields and expected assistance from 57 Division to make a success in all the project. At the same time the officials appreciated the contribution of 57 Division for the community related projects in the area.
The Regional Manager and the District Engineer of NWSDB, the Engineers of the Regional Irrigation Office, Deputy Director of Disaster Management Centre- Kilinochchi participated to the meeting. The General Officer Commanding - 57 Division, presided the meeting and Commander 572 Brigade also participated. Brigadier DKSK Dolage USP psc Commander 571 Brigade coordinated the event and, Staff Officers of 57 Division, Battalion Commanders of 571 Brigade also participated for the event.
