In parallel to the ongoing island-wide Dengue prevention campaign, troops of 19 Sri Lanka Light Infantry conducted a cleaning campaign on 25 June 2020, with the support of medical staff at Mulankavil General Hospital. 20 (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment also conducted another cleaning campaign on 26 June 2020 at Naaga Kovil premises at Skandapuram.
These events were conducted with the intention of making Dengue free area for the villages, with the directions of General Officer Commanding 65 Division, Major General DMHD Bandara RWP RSP USP and under the supervision of Commander 651 and Commander 652 Brigades.
