DISTRIBUTION OF ARTIFICIAL LIMBS FOR LOW INCOME CIVILIANS
As per the concept of the Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi Major General K A D A Karunasekara RSP VSV USP ndu psc, together with the Centre for the Handicapped - Kundasale inaugurate free distribution of limbs among low income handicapped needy persons in Kilinochchi area. As the first step of the programme taking measurements of selected personnals was held on 15 Jul 2016.As the second stage of the programme distribution the worth of 1.5 million artificial limbs among 28 persons was held on 09 September 2016 at Harmony Centre - Kilinochchi.\r\n\r\nCommander Security Forces Kilinochchi graced the occasion as the chief guest and distributed the artificial limbs among the selected personnals. The programme was organized by 57 Division together with 571 Brigade and 5th Battalion of Armoured Corps and Head of the Centre for the Handicapped Dr. S S Aththanayake – Prosthetist & Orhotist and his team conducted this programme. \r\n\r\nBrigadier Admin and Quartering - Security Forces Headquarters (Kilinochchi), Brigade Commander of 571,572,573 and 574 Brigade and Colonel General Staff – Security Forces Headquarters – Kilinochchi and few senior officers, military personnel attended for this charity programme.\r\n
