General Officer Commanding 57 Division Major General HJS Gunawardane RSP USP ndc psc handed over his duties as General Officer Commanding 57 Division on 30th January 2018 after completing nearly one year as the General Officer Commanding
To mark this occasion sequence of events were organized by the Officers and Other Ranks of 57 Division. Guard Turn Out was awarded by the 1st Battalion of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and Guard of honor was presented by 6th Battalion of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment. Subsequently out going General Officer Commanding addressed the troops at ‘Utility Building’ of Headquarters 57 Division followed by an All Ranks Tea
Further, farewell Dinner was arranged at Officers’ Mess Headquarters 57 Division and Memento was presented as a token of appreciation for his innumerable efforts as the General Officer Commanding of 57 Division. Brigade Commanders and Commanding Officers of all command Brigades and Battalions and Staff Officers participated for the event
