FIFTH MURALI HARMONY CUP GET STARTED TO UNDERWAY ON SEPTEMBER 21
The second day of the Murali Harmony Cup T20 cricket tournament, which builds bridges of friendship that brings together young cricketers from across the island on to one field which commenced today at five venues. Today, Nalanda College - Colombo team vs. Kalutara Vidayalaya team entered to the battle arena for the first match and Kilinochchi/ Mulatvu combined team vs. St. Aloysius College - Rathnapura fought for second match at Kilinochchi Central College ground.\r\n\r\nMajor General K A D A Karunasekara RSP VSV USP ndu psc , Commander Security Forces - Kilinochchi together with General Officer Commanding - 57 Division, senior military officers visited the Kilinochchi Central College ground and met the contesters. Later Commander attended on a conversation with teams those who are playing today and bidding toss for the match between Nalanda College - Colombo and Kaluthara Vidayalaya. \r\n\r\nSubsequently, Commander met former cricketer Mahela Jayawardena at Security Forces Headquarters - Kilinochchi and had a cordial discussion with him regarding uplift of cricket in northern area and benefits of Murali cup tournament. Later, Commander presented memento to the former cricketer Mahela Jayawardena as a memory of his visit to Security Forces Headquarters - Kilinochchi. \r\n\r\n
