HARMONY SOCCER TOURNANMENT CONCLUDED IN KILINOCHCHI
Security Forces - Kilinochchi has conducted so many Civil Military coordination events to facilitate main needy requirement of Kilinochchi public and creating a harmonious living through social, ethnic cultural and religious engagement during past years. As a part of this reconciliation process in Kilinochchi, Security Forces has organized several sports events with the civilians to uplift their sport skills and give a chance them to show their sports skill which they could not had in past three decades.\r\n\r\nWith the intention is to uplift goodwill and mutual understanding among the military and civilians in northern, Security Forces - Kilinochchi organized a Harmony Soccer Tournament between the military and civil combined team in Kilinochchi with the guidance and supervision by Major General Amal Karunasekara RSP VSV USP ndu psc, Commander - Security Forces Headquarters Kilinochchi.\r\n\r\n57 Division and 66 Division combined teams come across to the soccer tournament which was played on 22 October 2016 at Pravipachchan Ground - Kilinochchi. A team has compromised with 06 civil players and 06 military personnel. After the close encounter 57 Division combined team emerged as champion of the Harmony Soccer Tournament by securing 04 goals against to the 66 Division combined team.\r\n\r\nMajor General Sarath Weerawardena RSP USP IG, General Officer Commanding - 65 Division attended as the Chief Guest to the occasion together with Brigadier Anura Sudasinghe USP IG, General Officer Commanding - 57 Division, Brigadier Jagath Rathnayake RSP USP, Brigadier General Staff - Security Forces Headquarters Kilinochchi The Chief Guest and other invitees given away the trophies and certificates to the winning and runners-up team. Senior Military Officers and large crowd of the civil and military spectators witnessed this Harmony Soccer Tournament. \r\n
