To assist the needy people in Kilinochchi under the guidance of Commander, Security Forces (Kilinochchi) Major General Harendra Ranasinghe, and the General Officer Commanding 57 Infantry Division Major General Priyantha Jayawardana, 57 Infantry Division organized a dry ration packs donation programme with the participation of the High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic Pakistan, His Excellency, Major General (Retd) Muhammad Saad Khattak.
The programme was held at ‘Nelum Piyasa’ Auditorium on 29 June 2021. This programme focused on 150 identified families who were undergoing hardships due to loss of their livelihood means and the imposition of Covid-19 restrictions. Symbolically, 30 Packs were distributed by the chief guest. Dry ration packs each worth more than Rs. 3000.00 which included essential items.
The Advisor of Pakistan High Commission Office Dr. Asela Wickramasinghe, Senior Superintendent of Police Roshan Rajapaksha, the General Officer Commanding 66 Division Major General Ajith Dissanayake, Commander Forward Maintenance Area Kilinochchi, Brigadier Nilam Herath, Commander 573 Infantry Brigade Brigadier Manoj Madurapperuma, Senior Officers and officers also participated to the event with adhering all Covid 19 preventive measures.
