KILINOCHCHI CHILDREN CELEBRATE THE WORLD CHILDREN\'S DAY
A special programme has organized to commemorate the World Children’s Day and held on 01 October 2016 at the Nelum Piyasa auditorium in Kilinochchi with the directions and the presence of Major General Amal Karunasekara, the Commander, and Security Forces – Kilinochchi.\r\n\r\nA number of entertainment activities, dancing and singing were conducted for the enjoyment of the kids who attended the event. In line with the celebration, an art competition was organized to build self – confidence among children. Winners of the art competition was awarded with the prizes by Chief Guest and gift parcels with worth of one hundred thousand also distributed for kids during the programme. More than 100 children were attended the said event and it was organized by the 6 (V) Sri Lanka Women’s Corps under supervision of 57 Division.\r\n\r\nMajor General Amal Karunasekara, Commander Security Force Kilinochchi graced the event together with Brigadier Dammika Karyawasam, The Commander Forward Maintenances Area (KLN), Brigadier Duminda Keppetiwalana, General Officer Commanding - 66 Division, Senior Army Officers , parents and school teachers.\r\n
