‘Surakimu Ganga’ National Environmental programme for the conservation of rives in Sri Lanka launched in Katharagama under the distinguished patronage of his Excellency Gotabaya Rajapaksha, President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
In parallel to the above, Northern Provincial level programme held on 22 March 2021 at Dry Aru in Kanagarayan Aru river basin Kilinochchi. Commander Security Force Kilinochchi Major General Harendra Ranasinghe together with Commander Forward Maintenance Area Major General Piyal Nanayakkarawasam graced the occasion with the invitation of Director Central Environmental Authority of Northern Province.
Hon Parliamentarian Angajan Ramanathan, Hon Governor of the Northern province Mrs PSM Charles, other Government and Military Officials participated in the Programme.
