Security Force- Kilinochchi Challenge Trophy Soccer Tournament, organized by the 652 Brigade concluded on 27 February 2018 at the Parevupanjan playground in Kilinochchi.
Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana, Commander Security Force Kilinochchi graced the occasion as the Chief Guest in the finals of the tournament which was held for both Army and local teams in the area.
28 Army teams were participated for this Soccer Tournament. The finals for Army teams were held between the 1st Gajaba Regiment team and the 9th Sri Lanka Signal Corps team. 1st Gajaba Regiment team won the match with a score of 3-0.
Local Team segment, comprised 6 teams from the area and Joly Boys Sports Club and Kaleimagal Sports Club played for the finals. However, Joly Boys Sports Club won the match with a score of 2-1.
The Commander, Security Forces Headquarters Kilinochchi , gave away trophies and certificates to the winning and runners-up teams.
