Army troops including the medical staff serving Army Base Hospital Kilinochchi successfully administrated COVID-19 vaccination programme for the staff in MAS Intimates Vidiyal and Vanavil Garment Factories in Kilinochchi on 24 and 25 June 2021. This programme has been as per the conducted by the instructions of General Shavendra Silva, the Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO), the Chief of Defence Staff and the Commander of the Army with the close supervision of the Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi Major General Harendra Ranasinghe.
Commander Security Force Kilinochchi inspect the progress of vaccination drive programme together with General Officer Commanding 66 Infantry Division Major General Ajith Dissanayake, General Officer Commanding 57 Infantry Division Major General Priyantha Jayawardane Commander Commander Forward Maintainance Area Kilinochchi Brigadier Nalim Herath, Commander 573 Infantry Brigade Brigadier Manoj Madurapperuma and Director, Directorate of preventive medicine and mental health services Colonel Saveen Semage.
