350 coconut seedlings planted in the Security Force Headquarters Kilinochchi premises covering a large wasteland as the first stage of the coconut plantation programme on 21.06.2021. The Commander Security Forces - Kilinochchi, Major General Harendra Ranasinghe has inaugurated the programme by planting first few saplings. The coconut saplings were donated by Mr Senaka Rodrigo from Kuliyapitiya.
The Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi launched this initiative materializing a view of the Commander Security Force Kilinochchi on contributing the government process of uplifting agriculture through cultivating environmental friendly organic farms wherever possible by SL Army troops as well as in support of the 'Thuru Mithuru - Nawa Ratak' cultivation project.
Brigadier Admin and Quartering Brigadier Deepal Hathurusinghe, Brigadier General Staff Brigadier Prabath Kodithuwakku, Senior Staff Officers, Officers and other Ranks of the SFHQ-KLN were also presented at the programme.
