Troops of the 19 Gajaba Regiment and 2 Sri Lanka National Guards in response to a request of medical authorities, took steps to extend their support for renovation of Wards at the Primary Medical care unit at Wannerikulam.
Upon completion of the renovation project, Major General Niyshshanka Ranawana, Commander Security Force Kilinochchi formally handed over Wards back to hospital authorities on 28 July 2018 during a simple ceremony at Wannerikulam Hospital premises.
Commanders of 661 and 663 Brigades, Commanding Officers, Senior Officers and Officers participated for the event.
