Security Forces Kilinochchi released more Acres of lands in favor of the government policy to the original owners in several stages in Kilinochchi.
Commander, Security Forces Kilinochchi, Major General Niyshshanka Ranawana ceremonially handed over the agreement letter to the President Maithripala Sirisena during the inaugural ceremony of the National Program “Let’s Protect Children” held under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena, at Kilinochchi Central College Ground on 18 June 2018.
A total of 120.89 acres of land belongs to three different Districts handed over to respective GA's of Jaffna, Kilinochchi and Mulativu. More than 4000 civilians participated in this event.
Subsequently, His Excellency Maithripala Sirisena the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka visited Security Force Headquarters –Kilinochchi. Commander Security Force - Kilinochchi warmly welcomed His Excellency Maithripala Sirisena the President at the camp premises for the Lunch at Commanders House with all other dignitaries. Finally, The President Maithripala Sirisena placed his signature on the visitor’s book to mark his visit.
