The newly-appointed General Officer Commanding 66 Division, Brigadier Deepthi Jayatilaka assumed duties as the 6th General Officer Commanding of 66 Division under Security Force Headquarters – Kilinochchi on 11 April 2018.
Brigadier Deepthi Jayatilaka amid religious blessings left his signature for an official document and symbolized the acceptance of his new office.
Later, a mango sapling was planted in the premises as a symbol of memory.
The ceremony included with a formal Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour to great Brigadier Deepthi Jayatilaka upon his arrival at the 66 Division Headquarters premises in keeping with military traditions.
All Brigade Commanders, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks under 66 Division were present during the occasion.
