A new building consists of a tailor shop, saloon and a cobbler shop was opened on 14 February 2018 at the Security Force Headquarter Kilinochchi premises with the purpose of extending welfare facilities for Army personnel.
The facility complex was built under the directions of the Commander Security Force Kilinochchi, Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana. Engineer troops serving under Security Force Headquarter Kilinochchi built this complex and all ranks gave their fullest support for completion of the project.
The complex was opened by the Commander Security Force Kilinochchi Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana, after religious observances and the lighting of the traditional oil lamp. All Officers and Other Ranks of Security Force Headquarter Kilinochchi participated for this event.
