NEWLY APPOINTED GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING OF 66 INFANTRY DIVISION MADE INAUGURAL VISIT TO 663 BRIGADE

The General Officer Commanding 66 Infantry Division Major General Ajith Dissanayake made his maiden official visit to 663 Infantry Brigade and under command battalions of 11 (V) Gajaba Regiment and 2 Sri Lanka National Guard on 22 January 2021.

The GOC was warmly welcomed by the Commander 661 Brigade Brigadier Subashan Liyanagama, on arrival at the Brigade Headquarters, after a ceremonial drive past and Guard Turnout. Subsequently, Brigade Commander and Commanding Officers of under command Battalions presented brief outline on the operational aspects of their troops.

Afterwards the GOC planted a sapling to symbolize the visit at the 663 Brigade premises and addressed a cross section of troops at the lecture hall of the Brigade Headquarters. The event was culminated after signing the visitors’ book to mark his maiden official visit to 663 Infantry Brigade.
