NEWLY STARTED HOUSING PROJCTS BY 57 DIVISION

To meet with the concepts outspoken by the Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi, Major General Harendra Ranasinghe, and as to uplift the living standards of the livelihood of the inhabitants and to support Government reconciliation process as well as to eradicate poverty, it was planned to construct five houses for underprivileged families in the 57 Division Area of responsibility. At present five housing projects are on progress in a view of facilitating the aforesaid families in order to uplift their living standard under the guidance of General Officer Commanding 57 Division Major General Priyantha Jayawardana and close supervision of the Commander 571 Infantry Brigade Brigadier Dammika Welagedara, Commander 572 Infantry Brigade Brigadier Nishantha Muthumala and Commander 573 Infantry Brigade Brigadier Manoj Madurapperuma.

Ongoing housing projects are constructing by the troops of 7th Sri Lanka light Infantry battalion, 6th Sri Lanka Singha Regiment, 9th Sri Lanka Singha Regiment, 9th Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and 14th Sri Lanka National Guard.
