THE OFFICERS’ TRAINING DAY AT SFHQ KLN

As per the direction given by the Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi, Major General Harendra Ranasinghe, Officers’ Training Day Workshop was successfully conducted with the intention of widening the horizons of knowledge of middle grade Officers in Security Force Kilinochchi, on 20 March 2021 in SFHQ KLN. More than hundreds of Officers belong to under command formations participated in the programme.

The scheduled programme commenced with the opening remarks by the Security Force Commander. He emphasized the intent of getting the junior Officers for the training session to enhance their knowledge as the military Officers.

During the first session at the Auditorium, a lecture on the “Third Eye” conducted by the guest lecturer, Major Dammika Tharukarathna, the Commanding Officer of Civil Security Department Headquarters, followed by a lecture on “Personality Traits for Military Officers” conducted by the Commander Security Force (Kilinochchi) Major General Harendra Ranasinghe. At the latter part of the first session, Academic Awarded movie “An Officer and a Gentleman” was telecasted.

The Programme was concluded with the Concert staged in Nelum Piyasa Auditorium performed by ‘Sapthranga’ Dancing team of Security Force Headquarters (Kilinochchi) which coloured the evening, and during the concert, Officers got the opportunity to sharpen their inherent aesthetic skills too.
